I am also 41 and am 8 weeks along with our first. This was a planned pregnancy. We have been trying for 15 months.
1st - congratulations!
As for risks, it varies with every Mom and your medical history. There are higher rates of a few disorders for baby, and you'll be minitored more closely - but overall Mom's of any age benefit from solid nutrition & low impact exercise. Even in mothers who wouldn't rate their health ideal prior to the pregnancy. It's hard to soak it all in, but I encourage you to start seeing your OB or midwife, get educated, and enjoy the blessing you've been given! Be assured, mostly your body doesn't get pregnant if you aren't healthy enough to concieve.
