Oh, no need to be concerned about the levels, though...a 48 is a great number! I have no idea why you doctor found it alarming. That sounds strange. Most doctors would be very happy to see a number like that!
It was probably too early for the pregnancy test then. Most women have to wait until 12 - 14 days after ovulation before getting a positive home test, and doctors usually never test until at least 10 days after ovulation...and I highly doubt you ovulated on day 7 of your cycle. So I would just wait another week and test again. Best of luck!
My levels have never been that high and it has me very concerned.. My doctor repeated the test because he found it to be alarming and strange.. The results were slightly different but not to far off...
Day 17.... both test were done together
A 48 is a very good progesterone number and means that you had a good, strong ovulation this month. Unfortunately, it doesn't necessarily mean you're pregnant...but your HCG test might also have been done too early for a reliable result, especially if it was done at the same time as your progesterone test. What day of your cycle did you have the HCG blood test done in relation to ovulation?
i had a negative hcg and my progesterone was 48. Can I be pregnant?
Wow, congratulations......SSBD to you!
Excellent number. GL to you!!!
Yes...it is good...you ovulated!
That's high, good number. My progesterone check at CD 21 was 19, Now I'm pregnant! Good luck!
