signs of tubal pregnancy vs. corpus lutem on ovary

I am 33. I have an 8 year old son.  I am prone to cysts on my ovaries. I found out about my son early because the pregnancy had "turned them on" and i went to the er thinking cysts.  I have recently taken plan b 3 weeks ago.  for the past two weeks i have had naseua, cramping, light spotting, bleedin brown blood, pain...off and on..gas etc. and no positive hpt.  I'm really scared i have a tubal pregnancy.  Then I read that a corpus luteum cyst on the ovary in a normal pregnancy can give similiar symptons, how are the two alike and different.

I think the first thing you need to do is see your doctor and have them do a blood pregnancy test, to see if you are indeed pregnant. You can't rely on "symptoms".  If it is a tubal pregnancy, you will still register HCG in your system.  Your doctor can do an ultrasound to see if the sac is in the uterus or not.  An ultrasound can also detect a cyst.  Bottom line, see your doctor.

Unfortunately, I can't answer your question, but I've heard cysts can sometimes mimic pregnancy signs. And I believe corpus luteum cysts can occur without being pregnant. If I were you, I would set up an appointment with your doctor. Take care!
