SO...... i just came back from the doctor's office, and the guy seemed a little more caring!!! wow!!!
I put my stinky feet up in the stirrups, and guess oh guess what he discovered???

NOT ONE BIT OF A PROGRESS!!!!! =S

of course....

Maddie just don't wanna be away from mommy!! ;)

So, the doctor tells me:

ok, one of two things:

1- I'll book you right now for an induction monday night (yep, mother's day....) with cytotec, (?!?) so you'll be over night at the hospital and then we'll go ahead with pitocin on tuesday....  

OR

2- You can choose to have a c-section since you are a good candidate for it, either way is fine, I'd recommend natural delivery since I am 'oldschool' but it's all up to you and your husband...

SOOOO

now, the question is out:

WHAT THE HELL DO I DO!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!? =S

Maddie is gonna be a huge little girl as it is...., should I skip the whole process of getting her stressed out and finally, what if she doesn't fit thru my hoohee?!?!?! oooooooorrrrrrr.... should I book a c-section, suck it up a couple of days being sore (he said it wasn't a big deal and i shouldn't be afraid of it since im a good candidate for it) and done with it... Maddie will come out well, at once and for sure...... and voala! done in a couple of hours... (if so...)


Damn! im almost tempted to say right now: c-section!!! but i really don't know what's best for her! i don't care what happens to me! really! i don't! i handle pain well either way! (nothing more painful than being without my baby girl.... so i don't wanna risk anything!!) so, as long as she comes out fine, doesn't stress and we both enjoy our experience (well, you know what i mean lol) I'm fine with it either way!

What do you guys think????

I can't help feeling that there is a reason why you are not progressing.  I know that natural is better but the truth is that not everyone can have babies naturally and thank God we don't have to.  You may get induced, not get anywhere and then have a C anyway. I won't tell you what happened with my first except to say, nothing worked and it did end up in a C.  I'm not saying that will happen to you but I'm just saying, go with your instincts.  Don't feel guilty for wanting the c-section. I am curious though, why would he even offer?  I didn't think they offered unless they forsee a problem.

Downstairs most definitely! And get a Boppy. Whether you are Breast or Bottle feeding. That helped me hold my DS more easily with the C-sect.

Set up downstairs for sure!! They'll tell you to limit your trips up and down to like one a day. I had a friend who didn't listen and ended up having to be re-closed...it was nasty. Listen to your body :0)

It will all depend on how you are feeling. I know some people who set up camp on the first floor for a few days, and others who made the trip up the steps. My advice would be to really limit the stair usage for the first several days. Have someone else go up and down to get what you need throughout the day. Oh, and if possible, have someone else carry the baby up/down the steps for you too, if you make the climb, you may be a bit unsteady for those first few days. Remember, the more you try to do right away, the longer the healing time. And nap when baby naps, it really does help, a lot!  Best wishes!

C-section ladies.... question: were you able to go up and down the stairs after you came home from the hospital? i have a two story house.... should i set up a bed downstairs for me and Maddie? or could i go up at least to sleep at night?

Ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh my gosh, Vanessa, MAY 8th!!!  It's almost here, girl!!!  I think you did the right thing opting for the c-section.  I may not be much help since I didn't have a vaginal birth but I do have some advice:  take all of the drugs they offer you for pain!!!  If you're feeling yucky, tell the nurses and they'll help you out.  It's going to be great - are you nervous?  What a dumba$$ question!!  I was nervous this time and I've been through it 4 times previously!!

I've only had C sections so I'm no help at all . All I can say is.....with a C section at least your woo woo with be left in one piece.

Yay!!!  You'll be great!!  Everything will turn out fine.  Girl, aren't you SOOOOO excited??  I remember having a c with my dd and I really wasn't scared (too much) and maybe the pain wasn't so bad because I just could not wait to meet our little girl.  Uhh, I'm getting teary eyed just thinking about it (these crazy hormones)!!!! Well I would at least try to go through NATUAL LABOR  if not then go for the C.  Birthing is an experience to go through....to me it was well worth the pain having my beautiful kids I have now.

As an update:

It's official!!!! THURSDAY, MAY 8TH.... is Maddie's birthday!!!! they'll do a c-section at 8:15 am... and I will let you guys know as soon as I can how it went and also will post some pictures of my little angel!!!!
