success rate of tubal ligation w/c section?

I've been reading up on getting your tubes tied while getting  a c-section and it seems the success rate is not as good because your still swollen? Also read that many women have trouble with there periods after like heavy bleeding , spotting threw out the month? These things r making me lean against the procedure and the thought of a possible tubal pregnancy scares. Me! Has anyone had this done at same time of a c-section and if so what's your experience?  Pls share

The thing is I'm stuck at the clinic until my medicaid goes threw, then I will be switching to a real doctor! I was taken back by all her rude comments and this was a planned pregnancy! I was only considering what she said because of the risks of multiple c-section s are real.I'm 15wks along due in sept:))

First off I agree sounds like you need a new dr that's NOT their place or business to tell someone to get their tubes tied...  I'm 38 due in 13 weeks in new relationship with baby number 5!!  He wanted a little girl soo badly and we're having a girl. He had a son only.  I've got 2 if each already. I said 8 yrs ago after last I WAS DONE lol yaa here I am :)  make it UR CHOICE and decision. not the doctor. Do what's best for u :)  good luck. Btw how far along when are you due?

I wouldnt do it.  You can definately count on fertility issues in the future.  Dont let anyone pressure you.  Actually,  i think i might seek a different doctor if i were you.  The doctors dont care,  kinda seems like they are treating your pregnancy as "accidental"  and your "over the hill 35".  Your mind might change in a couple years about having another,  then you might have difficulty conceiving.  I would say just take the pill if you dont want to get pregnant for now.

There are alot of women on here that are in there 40's and are in new relationships praying to conceive.  You just never know what the future holds.

Also ,  do a search on here about tubal pregnancies.  Many have had tubes tied or untied.
