I had REALLY heavy periods on clomid. Normally my AF is very light for me so that was a bit strange. AF was also a few days late.
i was on the clomid last month but then i started spotting 18 days later and then i had much more bleeding than usual. i went to the dr and he told me not to take the clomid until he runs the tests. As i mentioned in my last posting, i had a whole lot of blood work done and next week i have an ultra sound and then the week after that there is something else and i get my results.
thank you
IUI is pretty painless, sort of like your annual exam. Many people combine IUI with clomid to increase their chances.
Good luck!!!
yes, i have an ultra sound next week and i went for a ton of blood work this past sat. i have been using the ovulation kits and so far no ovualtion. i am going to keep going pushing for a baby. And if we try the IUI method i am hoping that that works and maybe if i do get pregnant maybe i will get 2 babies out of the treatment. From what the Dr told my husband and myself multiples are very very common with doing the IUI. Good luck with your journey!! Thank you for following up with me.
I can't help you with the IUI treatment, but I just wanted to say I am glad you got the bleeding checked out, and that it sounds like things are moving forward for you. I wish you all the best in your TTC journey!!
i went to the dr he was baffled why i had the bleeding like i did. I am still bleeding but at a normal rate and the cramps have subsided. The Dr took me off the clomid. He ordered major blood work up and a ultra sound. So needless to say it was painless today, i will be following drs orders. Thanks for responding and scaring me into hanging on to the appointment. I have a question; my husband received his results for his sperm analisys today. Everything is great in his department. The urologist has recommended that we use the IUI Treatment has anyone use this treatment and if so is there any pain or discomfort?
It is always best to be safe than sorry. You could lose too much blood and thats where the danger comes in. Keep the appointment and if its nothing, great, but it could be something and to not go you may not be so lucky next time.
Good Luck and remember thats why the doctor is there, use him/her for their education.
i am being haunted to go to this appointment here at home.......but reading your responces i will definitly go. Sometimes i need to be scared into going to the drs....thank you ... i will update tomorrow after my appointments.
best of luck with your mission.
thank you again
I really think you should keep the appointment. Filling more then 1 pad per hour can be dangerous, and even if its lightened up, you should be checked out. If you start to bleed like that again, don't wait, go to the ER. Sorry, I don't mean to scare you, but I did that once and it got quite serious on me. IN my case it was a miscarriage, and I bled like that as a result of the medication they gave me to help things along. I know thats not the case with you, and I'm not saying that will happen for you, but don't ignore it. You are not foolish at all, don't worry about that at all. Take care, and good luck to you.
thank you for your response, i did call this morning and made an appointment. I just came back from the bathroom and i am bleeding light to mild. my husband and mom thinks i should go anyway to get a check up. I feel kind or foolish. Because it went from like a hemerage to barely nothing. i know this is not a normale thing for me. What do you think, should i keep my appointment or just let it me.
If you are filling up a pad an hour, go to ER. I don't want to scare you, but that is too heavy a blood flow, and you do need medical attention. Please don't wait. good luck to you and take care.
Definitely call your doctor. If you are filling up a pad within an hour then that is too much bleeding and they need to determine why.
On the other hand, clomid can do some bizarre stuff with your period. In my case, it made my cycles longer and when I did have a period, it was like black tar and pretty thick. Really wierd stuff.
You aren't foolish if you are asking a legit question about your health! Give doc a call!
