I had that problem (I'm a back sleeper normally) I started to sleep with a big pillow at my back which helped. Then I gave in and got a pregnancy  pillow (from Amazon for about 50) I'm glad I did. It really helps.

I have to sleep on my back propped up on 3 pillows. That's the only position I can sleep because my right arm keeps falling asleep.

I did that for a while as well. Once my belly got bigger it became painful or felt like I was suffocating when on my back. Now the position that I fall asleep in, I wake up in.

Try tucking a pillow under your back to help keep you on your side. I sleep with 2 pillows, one on the left and right sides.
