ok.... I am 25w this wednesday and I have gained 12lb...
the dr said GIRL YOU HAD BETTER SLOW DOWN SOME. ever snice, I have wondered what the ?
I have never been one to diet. what the hell is diet food anyway? I like to snack all the time. I infact have always been one to try and keep weight on.. no butt here. anyway I lost my prego weight 16 years ago without even trying. I gained 50lb. + with her.
anyway.. just wondering what you gals have gained?
12lbs at 25weeks and they're telling you to slow down??? I would think that's pretty good. I guess it depends on your pre-pregnancy weight as far as how much you should gain...or not gain.
My pre-preggo weight was average...not super thin, but not overweight.
The Dr. told me they would like to see a weight gain for me of 25 - 40lbs..max.
Im 33 weeks this Wednesday...and I've gained over 30lbs. :-O
According to my scales at home this morning, I have gained 5 pounds. But that could vary by next week at the doctors office. I have started retaining fluid some and over the weekend I showed a 9 pound gain, but by this morning it was back at 5. I was overweight to begin with though, and as my earlier post said, the baby is not having weight problems.
I wouldn't diet, just try to eat healthier snacks....nuts, fruits, grains...stay away from the junk food (easier said then done, smile). I think you are doing great on your weight, it sounds like you are on target, I don't know what your doctor is wanting? I would ask next time you go.
105 to start?????? I think my left toe weighs that much. I think he was joking, I really do. You're in the category to gain 25-35 and be okay and if you gain 1lb. a week between now and the end (which is the avg during 3rd tri) then you're likely to MAYBE gain another 15lbs, so that's about 27lbs....seems right on to me.
yea... thanks... Im not going to worry... perhaps I just need to get off this comphy couch! and start moving some. once the weather starts getting better Ill be taking dogs for walks. its just toooo darn cold now.
Not working these days... I spend alot of time on food network... and in the kitchen. gotta love paula dean!!
Hey.. not lucky!!! I have NO Butt... and **** are bought and paid for. lol
Oh come on! are you serious??? I've gained a total of 14lbs by 25 weeks! I am not the skinny kind... but im not overweight....i started with a 'couple' pounds more than when i was excersicing... but i was 150lbs when i got preggo... then again, im a friggin post! im 5'10" (used to be size 8-10) =( and the doctor has told me so far I've been gaining healthy weight... eventho i feel like a balloon in the face! lol
Oh well, i want Maddie to be a chubby healthy baby... mommy can lose the pounds later! ;)
I'll be 25 weeks on Saturday and I've gained 15 pounds. I think that's pretty good... Plus, we can all tell if we're gaining pregnancy weight or fat weight..I know I can. I didn't gain anywhere else than my belly. That's more what I'm being careful on. If I start gaining fat everywhere else, I'll know I'm eating too much!!
Yikes! I'm going to be 25 weeks Friday and have gained about 20 lbs. My dr. said at the last appt (last Fri) that my weight gain was good, I was a little surprised, thought I might get a talking to. Anyway I'm not one to worry about it too much since I lost most of the pg weight with my previous two and I'm on about the same track this time with gaining.
It's cyclical for me - a few days where nothing appeals to my appetite then a few days where I'll eat anything and everything - I try not to do too much junk.
I'm really trying hard to work at eating correctly this time because with my son I gained around 60 lbs!! So far I'm 27w1d and I've gained 2 lbs. But I was sicker then a dog in the beginning and lost 5, gained that back plus 2 more.. so either say 7 or 2.. whichever. I hope I can keep this up!!! What I really like about this pregnancy is that I'm craving fruits and veggies!! LOTS AND LOTS!!! I don't exercise much, unless you count shopping..lol
ok... I am going to eat what ever the heck I want!!!! My OB had to have been joking. or perhaps I just gained it all in one month...and he was laughing at that. who knows! yea.. its a new OB for me so he doesnt know me and my history. I have been eating like it out of style. just really out of control. Im not working so I just keep feeding.. lol pass those chips and Ice cream ashleys mom!!!
thanks for all the information. just goes to show you we are all beautiful in our own round way...
i'm 31 weeks and have only gained 9 lbs, I am worried about not gaining more but my dr is not worried. I eat all day too. I was 155 when I got PG so I tell myself I lost weight from morning sickness and gained baby weight to even things out. I would feel better if I had gained more weight, I would worry about your dr, I think you are doing well. Good luck ~d
I am going to die!!! I gained 10lbs at my first appt and I was 9 weeks then. I have an appt next week and can barely wait to see what I am up to. I also have not dropped the ten that was on w/ my previous pregnancy 18mths ago. so I am pushing an extra 20 around!! I eat good. I have breakfast, lunch and dinner. I don't eat **** (well, very often) but I do eat some chocolate here or there. It is beyond me how someone doesn't gain any weight. I am pretty inactive, but after 3 pregnancy losses I am sometimes afraid to breath. That is also why I never tried to lose the prevoius 10 lbs. I am usually 105-115lbs. I didn't want to have a hard time getting prego and my dr said the xtra weight cannot hurt. You girls make me feel like I should MOOOOOOOve on over to the "diet" forum. Aren't any of you hungry?? I am a vegetarian and I don't over load carbs b/c I had gestational diabetes last time. I still put on the pounds??
I eat well and exercise a few times a week, but my body gains weight while pregnant. I've gained almost 20 pounds at 25 weeks. However, my doctor says I'm doing fine. I'd actually be very happy with gaining a pound a week for the next 15 weeks, because that means my grand total would be only 35 pounds . . . less than either of my other 2 pregnancies. Three cheers to the pregnancy weight gain club!
Given the choice of mini carrots or mini chocolate chip cookies for a snack? I'll take them both!!! Carrots for the baby and a few cookies for me! :-)
yea... I got a big heart box of candy from dh... I tried passing it off to my dd. I will eat the whole darn thing! oh well!!! IM going to be alone tonight... cry cry... guess I see a bubble bath, candles and a box of candy comming.
geez... IM not going to waste it. I just wish I could have some wine with it! guess Ill use tahariels idea and have grapejuice for baby.. smile
Happy valentines day to you all..
I made mini chocolate cupcakes for my son's daycare class and kept a few for me and dh tonight!! Whip cream on top of the cup cakes and maybe even some on top of me!!! Eeek! sorry, i have been feeling like that lately...must be the pregnancy hormones at work. ;)
ok I went into my 25 week and I have gained 20 lbs... I thought I was only up 16 so I will have to check it was the day after valentines day and I had a big saltly dinner the night before... ughhhh weight haha
