what does bfp means?

Im new here. Been married for almost 2yrs and still trying. i stopped with my work up last Sep 2012. My doctor advused me to rest for 3mos. Now I still haveny had my period. Been using My Cycles app on my phone and I should have had my period last Jan 9 or 10. I did hpt this morning but got a negative :-( could it be that im just delayed? Im still hoping that the test gave a false negative result

Bfp means a big fat positive and a bfn is a big fat negative, instead of usuing yur app on your phone you would be much better off by buying some opk's and using them they will pinpoint ovulation to within a 36 hr timeframe, you could combine it with your app as well, also check signs for fertile mucous and you even start temping to track your cycles, unfortunatley goin by just the app wont be that accurate as you can ovulate different times, different cycles, if you start tracking them it will also give you a good idea of your luteal ph (the time between your ovulation and when your next period starts) its good to know this as some women can have a luteal ph defect which can affect implantaion :)
