Did they do blood work to verify your hcg levels? It could also be something simple like your baby is at the opposite end of the uterus with the back turned away. I know how silly it sounds but it happens.
My dr couldnt find my sons hb at 11 weeks he said no worries then two weeks later i had an ultrasound and seen his little heart beating away. I was nervous that he couldnt find it but at the ultrasound it all went away when i seen it! Best of luck
I am sorry to hear ur loss.... God bless u my dear
Sorry to hear that. I cant imagine your loss. Thanks for updating.
I miscarried the day after its been very emotional.
However we will try again in a few mons
11 wks is still early some Drs don't even try to find heartbeat externally at that stage and not everyone gets the same pg symptoms my dr couldn't find hb at 17 wks pg ended up having to have an er us and baby was just fine ended up that I have an anterior placenta and am now 36 wks pg and have been in and out of l and d for the past three weeks for days at a time so hooked up a thousand times to machines and she still always hides with the hb some of the nurses joke that they take bets who's going to try and find it the next time cause I can very obviously feel her moving and grooving she just likes to be a little monkey and play games on the nurses they say because my placenta is out front that's why it makes it hard to hear her. Good luck Amy I'm sure that everything will be just fine with your munchkin. Keep us posted!
Its hard to find heart beat at first but very common. But if your super worried you can press the issue of ultra sound sooner
My Dr couldn't find my baby's heartbeat at 14 weeks with the doppler so he sent me for an ultrasound and everything was just fine. She was just hiding :) It did scare the crap out of me though.
Is there anything else you're not telling us? Did the doctor do bloodwork? Have you been having pregnancy symptoms? Is this a GP? OBGYN? or RE? If my doctor wasn't concerned, I would find another doctor, because I'd either be looking for someone more competant(find the HB) or more proactive (couldn't find it, test now-not later). I am 6 weeks pregnant-morning sickness, tender nips, the whole shebang. I have had three blood tests and an internal ultrasound is scheduled for next week. Good luck.
