Don't be scared, if you are like me, you need a large dose of lidocaine, because the regular dose isn't enough,if you feel ANYTHING, have the doc give you another injection or more. I had a wisdom tooth out last week (at 20 weeks). They used lignocaine, I didn't feel anything except an odd tugging sensation. After the anesthetic wore off I had pain around the site for about 48 hours. I took codeine at bedtime the first night to help with the pain, but it was bearable from the morning after onwards. Word to the wise: follow the afyercare instructions to the letter, it would be horrible to wind up with infection or worse abcess or dry socket. Good luck, I hope you have a good experience.
I had 1 root canal while pregnant. I got normal numbing meds. You just can't have certain ones in certain weeks of pregnancy. But I'm sure the well schedule around that. It wasn't overly bad
