31 weeks pregnant and having contractions

I have been having contractions since 5:50 pm 2-4 min. apart. I have had children before and don't want to make it a big deal because it could be false labor.I have tried everything to take the pain away. Nothing has worked. I want to go to the ER but I'm not sure if I should.Any suggestions?

Dr will tell you to drink a liter of water and lie on you left side for an hr while drinking additional water. If this doesn't help go to er. Contractions are commonly brought on by dehydration, even if your getting enough water it could be your electrolytes are low. But if you've had children before you know if you need to go to er now . If they are 2 min apart I would not wait

Braxton Hicks are not regular, they come and go and can often be stopped by changing position. If you have more than 6 in an hour they recommend you get checked out. Why not? Better to be safe than sorry my friend.

Go to the er if you're having contractions. You're along ways from your due date.
