Hi there
anything is possiable, I myself have had ivf but not for a fertility reason but we didnt want to reverse my hubbie vacectomy we had 3 attemps at ivf and they all failed and neither of us had a fertility problem at all, he had it reversed and we were preg straight away from that, i know of a lady whom is much younger than either of us and she couldnt find a dr here in sydney who would reverse her tubes so ivf was her only option, she has had 5 attemps and not yet pregnant. It does work for so many and alot of people have been bless by ivf for a baby i think its just all about the timming when u have the egg placed back in, this is only my opinion but ok. id try ivf if u couldnt get it reversed ok or try doing both depending on your financial situation of course u never know and at the end of the day if its ment to be its ment to be love, i wish u all the best and please keep us posted and fingers crossed for u ok xxx
Getting a reversal is always an option as well. However, if this were me, I would probably opt for IVF. I don't believe the cost difference is overly significant and reversal is not always successful. I would be looking into IVF. Your chances of conceiving naturally with a tubal ligation are extremely low. It does happen, but it is not common place by any means. Talk to an RE. They can help you determine your best option.
I just turned 48 this month & I'm 6 weeks pregnant with twins. For me it started when I had a tubal reversal Sept, 91. After not being able to get pregnant, me & my husband went through several test to make sure we were fine. Then we were sent to a fertility doctor who said the only way I could get pregnant was by IVF. After the doctor told us the price, my husband was willing to do what was necessary to get the money so I could get pregnant. Before we left the doctor, we looked at each other & decided to allow God to do it naturally. It was a long process for me because there were some things in my life that hindered God opening my womb. I was not being faithful to Him & I was being disobedient. After I got on board & started doing what God said to do, I became pregnant. I am in my late 40's, pregnant without any help from a doctor. And it happened because I became faithful & obedient to the instructions God gave me. I feel so blessed. I pray a success for you. Be blessed.
It's possible, if you do IVF. You could also look into having your tubes surgically reconnected. It's very much less likely to just spontaneously get pregnant after a ligation, especially at 37. You'll need help.
