I had that same problem just last week and now I am waiting to monday for another ultrasound. My family tells me not to worry and I am sure you will be just fine because my doctor said the same thing don't freak if you don't see anything it is still early
I agree with the girls, this is still too early for you to think that anything is wrong. It could all be just right. Give your precious "bean" a chance to grow! Try to stay positive. I know how hard it is, but just give it a good try.
Good Luck!
At 6 weeks there was no evidence of the fetal pole. I worried tremendously but within 3 days i returned and my blood levels continued to multiply. I am now 12.5 weeks pregnant with of course the fetal pole, heart beat I could even see the babies spine. I might be able to relate since I had a similiar experience just last month.
Try not to worry to much (easier said then done). I had 5 miscarriages prior to have Gavin in December 2008. When I went to go see my RE for the first time after I had my BFP. I was 5 weeks 5 days and he told me before he even did the tv u/s that not to stress out if we didn't see a hb or a fetal pole. We did however see the yolk sac and gestational sac, but nothing else. I was so upset for not seeing a hb. He scheduled me to come back in 1 week, I was then 6 weeks 6 days and we saw the hb and he had grown so much in 1 week. I think things are going to be okay for you. Try not to worry to much. With you only being 5 weeks and you thinking you were 5w5d, that is very normal, you could have o'ed a very days later. Try and stay positive and please keep us posted. My prayers are with you.
Debbie
Perfectly normal. At five weeks that is about all you would see. Some women haven't seen the baby's heartbeat until up to eight weeks. However, the fact that they did see a yolk sac is a good sign. It is still very early.
Have they given you a BETA test? That should also be one of the first things they do...a 48 hour comparison.
