7 weeks and bleeding...I'm Scared

I'm 2 days shy of being 7 weeks pregnant and I'm 42 years old. I started spotting with a brownish discharge on Friday. This continued through Saturday and then by Sunday morning it started up as a very light brownish bleed through the whole day (mostly only on toilet paper). On Monday afternoon it turned into a red medium bleed which is where I'm still at today with slight cramping. I see the Dr in a couple of hours. Now, if I weren't pregnant my period would normally be starting in 3 days. Could this just be a case of where I'm going to have a period and still be pregnant, or does this sound more like a m/c? We've been trying for two years to get pregnant and I've been trying to keep a positive attitude, but with the Dr. appointment so close I'm starting to lose it over here.

I had bleeding and clotting w/cramps as well in the beginning of my pregnency until about the 12th week and after that it just stopped, haven't had any other problems, knock on wood.  The baby was fine all the u/s showed him/her jumping around.  I understand completely what you are feeling.  Just think happy thoughts and I'll keep you in my prayers.

Oh, sheecj, I'm so sorry you're going through all of this right now. I'm so hoping everything is well with you and your pregnancy!!! As for the kitty, I totally understand how you feel. I have two dogs and three cats myself, and I just love them sooo much! And when they're not doing well, it's the worst feeling in the world! Hopefully, he'll feel better again soon!

They had me go for a blood test today to test the HCG levels, and then I go for another one on Thursday.  Depending if the tests show high enoughs levels then they'll schedule me for an ultrasound.  I've felt that God granted me my pregnancy at this time as His way of helping me cope with my 17 year old cat (who is like a child to me) who I feel won't be around to see his 18th birthday next August.  Then to have this scare of a possible m/c and to top it off my cat had a bout where his back legs were giving out on him and threw up some yellow bile earlier this evening (he's doing better now) that I don't know how much more I can take.  You just can't imagine how much your well wishes mean so much to me right now.  Thank you so much, and I will keep everyone updated on how it goes with the Dr.

Sorry about the scare. I hope everything is okay.  Let us know how your dr visit goes.  Hopefully it will just be one of those things that happen and aren't  big deal.

Hmmmm! I know that some women do have bleeding and spotting during pregnancy, but it's usually now accompanied by cramping. I hope everything's OK when you go and see your doctor later today!
