8 weeks and bleeding

I started spotting last week and it turned into what seems like a light period this week. I have no fever, cramping or pain and all pregnancy symptoms are still present. My doc is monitoring but I am freaked out. Did anyone else experience this??

Light bleeding is normal up to 12 weeks, known as implantation bleeding.

Bleeding/spotting can be very normal. However, it can also be a sign that something is wrong. My last pregnancy they said they couldn't scan before 8 wks so I had to wait 2 wks with slight blending every day, no cramps and was found to have a had missed miscarriage. This pregnancy I bled also, so was scanned at 6 wks when they found a heart beat. I was so relieved. Bleeding stopped after a few weeks and all well at week 19. Ask your doctor for a scan (an internal, vaginal scan). It's the only way to know.
