A little concerned.

I'm 37, my husband and I have a beautiful 3 year old little girl.  Some history, I had a missed m/c in 2009, then got pregnant pretty quickly thereafter which gave us our daughter.  I found out I was pregnant on February 28th of this year when I went in for a colonoscopy, I had no clue.  I had had my period just like normal.  My gyno estimated I was probably around 7 weeks along.  That Saturday I ended up in the ER and early Sunday morning I had emergency surgery removing my left tube as the pregnancy was ectopic and had ruptured.  Because I had no idea I was pregnant my gyno advised me to take a pg test every month as a precaution since I am now considered to be at a higher risk for another ectopic.  Well, I took a test the day I was supposed to start (3 days ago) and it was negative, then I read the reviews about the tests I had gotten online and apparently a lot of people complained of false negatives.  So after still not starting by last night I picked up a test at the dollar store, I'm not cheap but I've had good luck with these tests.  Last night the test was negative and I forgot to test this morning with FMU.  I've always tested positive right away and it hasn't really mattered what time of day I tested.
I guess I'm concerned because my breasts are a little tender, I'm cramping, not bad but it's there, and my lower back is sore, not to mention my sex drive has kicked up!  I know I'm probably over analyzing, I just don't want a repeat of what happened last time, but I also don't want my doctor to bug my doctor yet.  Anyway, any thoughts or input?  Think maybe I'm just going to miss my period this month, or could I just not be testing positive yet?

Thanks ladies!

Thank you.  I'm thinking I'll test again Monday, if I haven't started.  If the test is still negative I'll call my doctor and see what they say.  My primary concern is that another ectopic may not result in a positive until it has progressed, and I don't want to lose my other tube.
