Abdominal Pregnancy

I am searching for help and advice about abdominal pregnancies. I have seen multiple doctors and this pregnancy has gone undetected as they always are from the research I've done. If there are any doctors or members with information of value please feel free to reply or send a message. Before replying with negativity please do your research on the matter first. Thanks... For those who may actually be interested in my actual story ask and I will send it to you... Thanks once again. There were no correct topics concerning my discussion so PLEASE DELIVER ME FROM THIS NIGHTMARE...

Did you find help and deliver a baby? I feel like I have a similar situation and can't get any help from these doctors here.

Thanks... I am aware of the complications which could result in death for myself or both. I have been trying to find someone with experience. I'm still waiting on some replied from out of state. It's so complicated and dangerous that it's hard to find anyone that will even take interest. I had a call back from a doctor that says he will not even refer me to someone even if he knew a doctor because he would still have some type of involvement if things went wrong. His suggestion was the fetus very well eventually die and be a lith and after time will dissolve back into my body. Surely I don't won't to die but who wants to live with a baby trapped in there body. I read about a woman that doctors keep refusing to see and did not believe her. she lived and 16 months later she went into the ER for severe abdominal pain and after an MRI they operated and she delivered her baby. I come across so many cases im not sure if the baby survived after the fact. Thanks again. I'm still searching. I have a doctors appt in the morning hopefully it will be helpful in some type of way.

Ive been looking this up for the past 3 hours and it doesn't look too healthy.. It seems like yu may have to sacrifice something, either your child's life or both of your lives. From the looks of it, and I'm no doctor, a cesarean may work but finding an experienced doctor is the main problem. Idk but I couldn't sleep until I looked it up. I'm sorry that this is an issue and it's a shame there aren't any good docs out there.

Thank you for that important comment. Doctors don't know everything and it's a double whammy if there not knowledgeable in a certain area of expertise. Thanks

Thanks for your replies... How do I know, besides all the symptoms a woman knows her body regardless of what others may think is medically possible. And yes I can feel the baby.

Victorinia,  I've done some research in the past on this topic - it was of interest to me.

If you haven't had an exam or an MRI,  what is the basis for you determining you're pregnant? I'm interested in your situation.

I saw something on this as well a women was pregnant for 40yrs bcuz the baby couldnt come out since it was not in her uterus so her body calcified the baby. Drs didnt know what was happening when she didnt deliver bcuz it was in 1950s. also a women who was pregnant with triplets one was ectopic but attached to the outside of her.uterus. Her and all three of her babies survived the operation. They gave her a 1 in 1million chance that everyone would come out alive. They say only 1% or less of ectopic pregnancy end up sticking on the outside. I hope you find someone to help you.

Thanks for your replies, there very much appreciated. As for jenthelpn, your right they have said I'm not, but still haven't given me an actual exam or mri. These rare pregnancies go undetected for months. I don't mind you not sugar coating if you've done your home work on the topic. I am pregnant for sure, I have a doctor that now believes me, but is not experienced and not willing to take the risk evolved, which could be death neither I'm i willing to put my life in the hands of an inexperienced doctor without at least having some knowledge familiar research. Have a wonderful day. To those of you whom posted other info I'm talking all into consideration. Thanks very much.

I also saw something about a woman who had an ruptured endotopic pregnancy and the fetus attached to her abdominal wall which she carried till about 36 weeks. I think how they found out was she had an ultrasound of her internal organs when she was having bad pains and it was undetected by pregnancy test. Sorry I know not any help but just to know it is possible and maybe you could do some research on this woman nd take it into a dr office as proof yes it is possible.

I don't know if this will help you at all! But I actually watched a show on this the other day. The lady had carried the baby up until 36weeks in her abdominal cavity... it's ultra extremely rare! And can be fatal for mother and or baby. It is also supposed to be extremely painful! The natural order of things is for your tubes to bring down the egg. But rarely some ppls body does it reverse sending the egg into the abdominal cavity the only chance that egg has is to catch onto the outside of your uterus. Look it up, the lady lived in Vancouver I believe... it might help you find a doc who knows more about it! Or Thayer can be sure this is what your experincing. Like I said it is super super rare!!

I have been calling different hospitals and doctors offices leaving my number and email for the return of help/resources. When I tell them what the problem is there's a sudden silence. Some have even ask "Is that even possible? Do you mean actually in the abdominal cavity?" It's rare and hardly ever heard of. Some doctors response back from there receptionist is "I can afford the risk to even give you an exam because we wouldn't know where to refer you afterwards". Which I respect the honesty or other replies of accusing me of being just plain crazy. There is a children's hospital in Cincinnati that I'm about to contact. My search continues... Thanks for your reply.

I am hoping someone has some info. I don't think anyone on here is a doctor however. That would be under the ask the experts section which will coat some money to have answered. What a scary time for you. I hope you get the answers you need. Have you tried talking to children's hospital? They may have some specialists that would possibly be (in my opinion) quite capable of helping you through this pregnancy. Good luck.
