I use a paste of baking soda and water. I put it all over and wait until it dries. Then I wash it off with warm water and a wash cloth. Then every night I apply to just the break outs until they go away. I also take the stuff thats left that dried and use it as a scrub in the shower.
I use neutragena facial bar, dermatalogica hydrating toner with keihls moisturizer. I didnt have acne when I was a teenager, so as a ftm, in my second trimester, it was a shock. Before I just used a bar and moisturizer and would be fine missing a wash. Now, its like clockwork.
Tea tree oil has worked wonders on mine. One drop on a warm damp cotton pad wiped over whole face and then moisturise. I apply it straight with a cotton bud to any active ones. Dries them out straight away. Took about 10days to see results and clear ever since. Hormones do awful things to skin!
I went to a top dermatologist...Funny she says that water is a myth! She recommends Nuetragena face wash with Benzoil Peroxide and a 10% Benzoil Peroxide topical spot treatment.....or I can buy her super expensive stuff at the office!
It is working and I was getting cystic acne after I became pregnant. Make sure you have a moisturizer too since this may dry your skin. Dr. said for over the counter people who can afford her skin care lines in offuce, that Nuetragena is her go to brand.
My secret is turmeric powder mixed with plain yogurt and honey....make a paste, put it on your face for 20 minutes wash off and do it as often as you like! It may leave a yellow tinge to your skin...just use makeup remover to remove the yellow!
Ditto! I finally found origins checks and balances, and a pore refining toner from doterra- the combo has worked awesome. Not only did it clear up my skin, it actually looks better than pre-pregnancy.
I had some terrible breakouts this preg so I bought oxy and used it for part of first trimester--about 2-3 x wk. It really helped--once clear & I switched back to my regular cleanser--cetaphil. Now I'm using 3 step Clinique which I received as a gift for Christmas. So far so good! Using it on my face, neck, & chest because my neck & chest broke out horribly towards the end of my first preg.
I didn't get any acne, but I always use Clean and Clear antibacterial face wash. Nothing with salicylic acid. I use a hydrating face GEL (not a lotion or cream) and I haven't gotten any acne. It's worth a try! Good luck!
I drink water all day. I don't drink anything else because it leaves a bad after taste.
Water. Although if your like me your suffering from repeat bathroom trips 2/3 times an hr. But I'm also going thru the hormonal effects of breakouts during first trimester. But water does help.
