Addison has arrived!!

Question

Finally, after 2 years of trying and 3 m/c's I can say that my daughter was born on April 17th!!  Addison came into the world via c-section.  I visited my doctor at 40 weeks 1day and she was not coming down.  She wasn't even close to my pelvis.  The doctor determined that her head could not fit and he didn't want to induce me and possibly set me up to fail with a natural delivery, so I was scheduled for a c-section on the 17th.  It was a good thing too, once the doctor was in there, he said there was no way she would have fit.  She was born at 9lbs 3oz, 20 inches long.  Dh and I are so very very happy.  I figured posting here is easier than emailing everyone individually.  Hang in there my preggo ladies.  It is all soo worth it!  I will be posting pics eventually.  My internet is not working, I'm using my mom's computer, so it will be a few days before I can reply.  Take care everyone!

Were setting up our nursery today in anticipation and it seems like all the heartache we went through with ttc was a breeze.. i cant wait till i too hold my boy.

I just wanted to say congrats to you Marie. You've given me a lot of hope. I'm 38 and have been ttc since 04/06 and just had my 3rd m/c in a row. I've been diagnosed with a balalanced translocation 2:19, almost like yours. I'm praying that my fourth (if I'm lucky enough) will end up as successful as yours. Thanks again for the 'hope'.

Thanks all! I appreciate the well wishes. 

Vanessa, just trust in your dr.  Mine suggested the c-section because by 40 weeks, she should have been down in my pelvis and she wasn't.  He suspected that her head was too big to fit, he was right.  C-sections aren't that bad, as long as you don't milk it.  Get up and get going.  It's painful but worth it.

OH MEL!!!!!!!!!!!! sweetie! you did it!!!!!! CONGRATULATIONS hunny!!! I hope you get that stinking internet back up so we can chat about it more! wow! so Addie is a BIG BABY!! my Maddie will be around there too, doctor says.... altho he wants me to try natural first (ouch!) do you think I should ask him if she's over 9 to do a C-section??!?!?!
