Almost 40 trying to get baby for the first time.

I have been trying to get pregnant for the past 6 years. Unfortunately i had fibroids and was operated. After one year they came back and growing as fast as mashromes. And we have decided no operation any more for i already have 2 operations concerning the same, this was going to be my 3rd. My Doc has put me on a medication called Enantone-Gyn. monthly- Depot wh. is an injection to shrink the myoms (fibroids), While waiting for a new fibroid cure coming any time this year. Just want to find out if any body out there has used this medication before and did not loss their periods for good. Because during this injection a woman dose not have her periods, and has a number of side effects. And my other qt. is; Is their a woman out there who got her first baby at the age of 40. Just want to know if it is possible, just as an encouragement because some time i feel depressed and hopeless. Thank you.

Hi there!
I got pregnant (LMP @ Aug 13, turned 40 at Aug 17) naturally...in fact had IUD taken out in late June, early July, so barely had one period...not even a full one really. We now have an 8 month old baby and he is perfect and wonderful. I'm a happy 41-year old mommy!!!

Hi, to answer your second question...I delivered a healthy baby boy at 43 and am currently 45 and 11 wks pregnant with our second child.  There are many women on this forum that are currently pregnant at 40 and above, or actively trying.  So please don't feel depressed and hopeless, because it does and can happen!  Best of luck to you, and I wish you much happiness and success!
