An update on the raspberry leaf tea
So, i saw my obstetrician yesterday, and asked her about taking raspberry leaf tea, and from a gestational diabetic point of view, its ok, i just have to sweeten it with artifiical sweetner if i want. But she didn't seem to know alot about it though, and said i could start drinking it at 37 weeks. Its not supposed to bring laor on, just helps you dilate quicker when you are in labor, so, i dunno, thought i would just have 1 cup a day, then have 2-3 a day when i hit 37 weeks. Everyone i know started it at 32 weeks. So many different opinions!!

Usually its started around 36 wks in an uneventful pregnancy and at least 3 cups per day is needed, I'm not surprised she didnt know much about it as its natural and most medical doctors arnt interested in natural remedies, even though most of the drugs they use first came from nature :) I'm a great advocate of raspberry leaf tea, and it actually works by toning your uterus as its a muscle, making it contract better, thats how its shortens labour :)
