Any hope still?

I'm nearly 8 weeks Preg. I had beta done at 7 weeks 2 days which was 123000 & then again at 7 weeks 4 days & it was still 123000! :( I've been spotting too. I would think this was a definite miscarriage however on the day of my second beta I also had a u/s which should a fetal heartbeat. So when I got the results of the 2nd beta I was shocked as I had expected it to be rising given the heartbeat was seen the same day. Is there any hope with a hcg level that has stayed the same?

Am posting what's happened so far so that anyone who might read this in the future can see the outcome. Had scan today fully expecting no heartbeat but I'm 8w2d now and strong heartbeat of 179bpm a week after betas went static. Who knows whether this will continue but pretty exciting that there was no rise in hcg after 48hrs but bubs is not only hanging in there but is doing pretty awesome. ;)

Thanks for your input ladies. The spotting has stopped and was only there when wiping. I have no pain and would be feeling confident if it wasn't for the beta results. Scan and more bloods on Monday. Have pretty much accepted this will be a miscarriage. If hcg stops rising altogether it can't mean anything else. Gutted. :(

Between 8 and 9 weeks you lvls start leveling off. The fetal pole detaches and baby is supported by the placenta alone. This is normal. As long as levels are not dropping and there is a heart beat yes there is lots of hope. Also spotting is normal at this phase it is the final stage of implantation. Lots of women experience spotting between 7 and 9 weeks. If you bleed enough to fill a pad or experience exstream cramping go to doctor or ER to checked.

Did you have the levels done at the same lab? Levels actually start to level off at some point and don't double like early days and every lab is different so they usually try to have you use the same one. As long as there is a heartbeat then yes there is still hope. Best of luck hon X

I'll be praying for you. Time will tell. To be completely honest when I had my missed miscarriage my baby had a great heartbeat and rate until I found out I lost the baby at 10 weeks. I still had all the pregnancy symptoms and my hcg levels were really good too, but eventually they started to fall. The baby had stopped growing at 7 weeks. Good luck!
