Thankyou for your advice. It's nice to meet somebody my age who is expecting and I'm glad it's all going well for you. I need to rush off now and have a scan done so I will return to answer you properly. FIngers crossed.
Thankyou for your advice. Have cut down on the smoking by two thirds but that one third is still too many (8 a day now). Its very hard. I also rang QuitLine which is a phone support for people wanting to quit the smokes. They have been very helpful.Getting dates scan done this afternoon and another appointment at the doctors afterwards. I'm a little nervous but I guess that is to be expected. My stomach hasn't been feeling its usual self, feels tender, bloated and wondering if this is normal. It's been so long since I've had a child (and only one at that) that I can't remember what it felt like. Hoping to have the smokes knocked on the head by tomorrow and may need to use some nicotine replacement therapy products. We'll see. Anything would be better than a cigarette.
46 and pregnant. I was a smoker to but about 12 weeks they just made me puke a lot so it was easy to quit. We're all good but I know that because I found the absolute best specials for older high risk pregnancies and maternal fetal care in the city. It's was an accident but doctor today finally admitted its also a miracle he's ok and I'm still pregnant at 26 weeks. If you must go to a doctor go to an urgent care clinic or a planned parenthood and they will help you verify it and figure out what to do next. Good luck. I hope it all goes well but I was also well prepared to make some hard decisions if I found out things were not going to go well... if you make it to 15 weeks get the cvs test. It's 100% And will greatly ease your mind about the babies health.
Pregnancy tests don't come up positive unless you are pregnant. You can get false negatives, but not false positives. Over 35 and especially over 45 is a high risk pregnancy. You need to quit that smoking asap, I quit the day I had a positive pregnancy test. Get to your Dr asap and cut out any nonessential medications.
