Anyone else on Procardia for Contractions??

Just curious if anyone else is on Procardia for contractions and if you are experiencing any side effects.  I started this on Tues and I just looked up all of the side effects (my 1stmistake...lol) ... I thinkI  am having every single side effect!!...  I am having a very emotional day so maybe I am exaggerating.... anyone else???

Hi there, I am taking the same medication prescribed to you. I went into preterm labor twice already,1x @31wks6dys + again @32wks4dys. At 32wks6dys I started taking procardia.It is helping.I am to take it every 6hrs,and after 3-5 hours I feel it wearing off and the pains coming back.I have got a little dizzy and nausea a couple times.But that is about it-luckily! The doctor has me on it for about 3wks.I prefer not to take anything.But the pain is unreal without it.I am 2.5cm dilated &75%effaced and +1.So he thinks I am gonna go early.I hope so,,they keep telling me my baby looks wonderful and ready to come out. So I wish they would not keep stopping it. Though I understand why they are. Well good luck.. :) Jeannie

Thanks shesherm!!  I am going for a follow up on Monday--- not happy about it .  I know this dr is going to put me on complete bedrest!!  Just hoping that it is at home and not in the hosp... ughh..

I feel like I am having every side effect to this med!

I took terbutaline for 5 weeks (at 30 weeks) had Saraya 4 days after i stopped at 35 weeks 6 days.  good luck to you both

I was "ordered" to take it!!  I am 25 weeks.  Apparently- this is used commonly in oreg...

I have it but I haven't taken it.  I haven't needed to but have it just in case.  I got it at 32 weeks. Now I'm close enough that I don't want to take it.  I am 35w1d today.  I just want to make it to 37 weeks or close to.  I have been back and forth on bedrest and just am hoping that I won't need the medicine and can just deliver the end of the month around 37 weeks.  

I know that I was leary when my dr. presribed this "blood pressure" medicine.  So I was holding out to take it unless I really needed it.
