Awful Cold Virus
An awful cold virus was going through my house last week, and this weekend was my turn. Fever, headache, congestion and cough. I've been taking Tylenol every 4 hours since Saturday to try and keep my fever down. Fortunately, I had my checkup this morning and my doctor said everything seems fine, keep taking the Tylenol for fever and add Robitussin DM at night to help me get at least some sleep. I feel so bad for this baby because every time I cough, I feel like my muscles are squeezing and shaking the baby around.
Anyone have any remedy ideas for helping with a cough? I'm drinking warm water with honey right now and it seems to be helping . . . a little.
Today was my last monthly doctor check-up. Next few appointments will be every 2 weeks! Yikes! Sure does go fast!!! (29w1d)

my husband had it and the only thing that helped was taking mucinex ,it loosened up his coup and his stuffy nose too.he also took tylenol sinus(which you can take being pregnant) hope you all feel better soon!!!
I'm so sorry to hear that so many of us are sick with this crud. My fever and chills finally went away! But I still have sinus congestion and a dreadful cough. My muscles ache from all the coughing. Take care everyone and I hope we all feel better soon!
mine started cold like symptons... hope you got somthing diffrent then what I cought.. Mine turned into a bad case of bronchidist/pneumionia. make sure you really treat yourself good. wash hands!!!! eat well... I wouldnt wish this on anyone!

I've caught it now too, and I'm just in my 7th week, so Tylenol only for me. :( I've got the fever, chills, body aches, and basically feel like ****!
I keep wondering if I should go to the doctor, but I'm not sure what good it will do. I doubt they will let me take anything, and antibiotics aren't going to help if it's a virus.
Ugh. The flu is only worse when it's the flu and you're pregnant and have morning sickness!

Still sick here too...it is so awful!! The fever almost did me in and mine hit just as I ended my first trimester and was hoping to feel better. My daughter has it now and I am on my fifth day of being out to work. YIKES!!!
I've been coughing like crazy for the last few days. I'm only 5 weeks pregnant and am scared to take anything for it. But chicken noodle soup sounds pretty good right now!
I with you.. I just caught this Sunday and I feel like C##P... I feel like I am gonna break my lil guy when I cough. I am just taking tylenol cold, or the robitussin DM and lots os water. God know cant leave this hoise now, I sneeze or cough.. and I have leaks!!! this sucks!!!!!! hope you all get better soon too =)
Im really not one to comment here due to Im STILL fighting mine.. but the good ol fashion chicken noodle soup... is what Im going to try next... ugh..
