Bladder pressure / pain NOT UTI

For the last two days I have been having a feeling of bladder pressure / pain. I am 10wks. It is nothing like period pain or pelvic pain, and I dont believe it is a UTI as I dont have any of the other symptoms like burning or frequent urination - I have had many UTI's before and it feels different than this. I dont know if it just my uterus expanding and puting pressure on my bladder? Its not even pain - just more sort of annoying. Wondering if anyone else has had this or if it is normal? Thanks guys.

Also... I find that sitting up makes it worse. When I lye on my back its not so bad and I find that by the time I have gotten up in the morning its gone, only to come back again this morning once I got to work and was sitting in my chair for a few hours...???

it may just be that your baby is sitting low, ive had some bladder/low pressure from early on because mine has been sitting right down by my pelvis, now 20weeks and its also making me need to pee a lot!! especially as you said its worse when you get up or stay in the same position too long, sounds like a low baby! my midwife suggested just moving around/changing positions every so often to try and nudge the baby to move a little

Well.... just to be on the safer side, why don't you schedule a pee-in-the-cup appointment with your OB? when i was like 20 weeks i went in for a regular one, peed and found out i had a UTI... i even asked the lady 'are you sure it was me??!" cuz i did not have any symptoms what so ever! lol

I agree with tahariel, I would think it's the baby's position. When I get that feeling, which happens to be all the time now I just lay down for a little while.

Hope you get some relief soon!

I had that pressure all day yesterday too, fortunately it's gone already today. It was awful, I felt like I had to go to bathroom constantly, all day long. Doctor's office said it was normal. I'm guessing that baby was somehow positioned that put extra pressure on my bladder. Today baby is in a different position, kicking me in the side instead of on my bladder. I did a few yoga stretches yesterday to see if gravity would help lift baby off my bladder. Not sure if it helped or just a coincidence that I'm feeling better today. I hope you feel better soon too.  (23w4d)
