You can hold off on making a decision about amnio until after your 2nd blood test. I heard you get more accurate numbers after the second blood test. Plus, if it's any consolation, the lab my doctor uses doesn't even give out ratios after the 12 week nuchal translucency test. They just give out low risk and high risk results, and to be considered high risk you need a risk of 1/45 or greater. So your results are looking good to me.
Those numbers look GREAT to me. I was 41 at delivery and my chances for Downs was 1/350, so your numbers look really good. I delivered my son 10 days ago and he was healthy as can be. I thank the Lord everyday for him.

Your numbers are perfectly fine!
Those numbers look great to me....953/954 your baby does not have Trisomy 21 and 1029/1030 your baby does not have Trismoy 18....
Remember they are always going to err on the side of caution, or, as it sounds like in your case, the side of absolute certainty. I am going to congratulate you on your healthy baby!!!! As for amnio, you need to do what you feel is best for you. If you need the 100% reassurance, there is nothing wrong with that! Congrats again Isabelle. Amanda
I'm so sorry to hear your concern. I think your odds are fantastic. Must just be a # that they go by. Kind of like when my son was tested in the hospital for Cystic Fibrosis. He had the lowest #'s and we had to go thru the whole gammet of sweat tests and everything even though I knew I was not a carrier. Anyways, enough about me, I am just saying sometimes you just happen to fall in the category and it's just what they do? I'm sure that there is nothing to worry about and I hope that your OB can confirm this hypothesis :)
