CLEARBLUE/PLAN FERT MONITOR... ANYONE HAD MORE THEN 5 HIGH FERT READINGS...HELP!! ;o)

All,

Last month...the monitor worked text book perfect, but this month it's all off. Last month...I had 5 high days & on CD17 & CD18, it read "Peak Fert" for both days then dropped back to High Fert on CD19 & back to normal on CD20. This time, it read "High Fert" fr. CD12-CD20. Since you have to use 10 sticks at a time, I decided to wait to see if AF shows, but hubby thought the digital sticks might be a good idea. Well, unlike the monitor, they don't tell you high/low...it just says yes or no. ;o) So...no smiley face on that one yet. So...my question is this...has anyone experienced this type of situation or something similiar? Thanks for any info you're willing to share. ;o)

I always make sure to use the first morning urine. It also can take a couple of months to learn your differences. Also, the monitor tests for TWO hormones. When you register High it is because it detected a rise in estrogen which is supposed to happen just before the rise in LH (which will give you the Peak registration). If you don't have a detectible rise in LH then you might not have ovulated that month. Do keep in mind that it is a machine that is "configured" to test certain levels of hormones and if your hormones levels are not within THEIR normal range, then you probably won't have accurate results. Every body is different and the amount of hormones, duration, etc. are different for every woman. Just keep trying it for a few more months and see if things don't regulate themselves. Keep in mind that every cycle is different and you may get different results every month just like temp charting.

I do not use any sticks past my high day after my last peak day. I also, after 7 months of using it (I started using it a few months before trying to conceive) I found that I usually have peak days on either 12 & 13 or 13&14 so I don't start using them until day 10. That saves me 5 sticks.

Hi, I have the monitor.. I get lots of high days but thats because usually I take Clomid and that interferes with the readings... last month when I got the peak I cross checked it with an OPK and got a positive, I did the same this month as got my peak on CD12 and got a negative on the OPK.... very strange!! I don't know how reliable they are! I have been using mine for 9 months and haven't got my BFP yet :(

I am also on day 10 of a "high" reading and this is my 3rd month using the monitor. First month worked perfectly, second month no O and now this. My husband is convinced that it's broken, but I had a peak in temp and CM for two days this cycle. So, I'm just crossing my fingers that this is our month! I think it helps to do the temp thing also to see the peaks.

well i am confused- still showing "high" for 10 days in a row. but with another OPK i had a pos on the 22nd. which if after you get a pos OPK you ovulate 24-48 hes afterward, i would of already ovulated. why is this STILL showing "high"? its not going to  "peak" if i already ovulated! is there something wrong with the monitor? or me? i dont get it!

N's Wife...

You should keep testing until you get the Peak. You can "High" for 1-5 days...according to the phamplet, but I suppose you can also go further. So...if it is your 1st time, you really should keep going until the reader says Peak. You are to use the sticks in a set of 10...I didn't continue because I ran out & didn't think it was worth buying another box. So...hopefully the other Opk was right on time for you. ;o) Mega Babydust to All.

JM...

I was concerned that maybe my peak might have been later, but after CD 19 & 20 I was convinced I did & it wasn't picked up. I took a temp today & it was 97.71, which I think means I've already ov'd. No big...I'm going to see what happens from here. ;o)

i actually just started using the monitor on the 16th, which is when AF showed up, then on the 23rd  i got the first high and has been staying at high ever since. but i used a different OPK on the 22nd and it was positive, so i know i had to of ovulated, i hope so, which was early. it never eached peak, altough the other OPK was positive. so i dont know what to do either, im sick of wasting the sticks now, if i ovulated i already did but its still requesting me to test. should i just keep testing?

Well, you might find temping helpful. This month I never showed high or peak (yet) and normally I ovualte about day 19 or 20 and I am there now. So, I was thinking I was going to ovulate late, but then my temp spike yesterday so I guess it happened and the monitor did not pick it up.  Anyhoo, I wish the monitor was infallible, but I guess it is not :)

Hi JM...

Thank you for the info, because that is exactly what I think happened. I've let it go for now. ;o) It was really bothering me, but after calling the customer helps @ CB...I decided if I didn't let it go...I'd go bananas. ;o) I'm glad to know of someone else who had the same type experience. I'll see if AF shows & go from there. Thanks again.

btw: I wasn't temping, but do see the vaule of it while using the monitor...someone else told me temp while using, so that when the spike comes...there'll be no question.

more insight for ya. Last month I read high for over 10 days, never had a peak and then a spike in temps eventually. Someone on this site actually thought I just missed the peak as it might have happened later on in the day. So, with the temp spike and eventually a period I knew i must have ovulated but it never really showed PEAK on the monitor.  make sense?

THANK YOU SO MUCH! ;o) I was starting to think I was crazy! The only thing I can think of is I started some new meds & maybe it caused it to read High instead of Peak. I'm on CD21 & I guess all I can do is keep testing with the smiley face digital to see if I get that smile. ;o) I hope you see your Peak soon. Mega Sticky Babydust to you.

Cheers,
Savanha

hi

i have just started with the cbfm but from reading alot about it, it seems as though our bodies may 'always' o on the same date.. particularly if we under stress or have been sick etc.
some women also may have anovulatory months when they do not ovulate

i myself am on day 19 and still reading high... i am tracking temps, cm, and cp this month along with later in the afternoons i have been using answer ov prediction strips just to see if everything is coordinating and they are--- i hope you get that peak any day now:)
