It's a good idea to find out how your lining thickens through your natural cycle. Get off clomid and onto progynova or some other progesterone option. Doctors put us straight on clomid when we have a fertility issue without checking if we have an issue with our lining. It seems to me clomid is becoming more and more common, and our lining issues less and less considered by the average gyno/GP. After an unsuccessful round of IVF I pushed for an ultrasound once a week during my cycle to see what was normal for me in terms of what was the thickest I got to, which was 4 mm. I need it to be around 8mm for a successful transfer, but at least now I know what I am working with. Don't let your doctor put you in the same basket as everyone else. We are all different and our bodies respond in different ways. But clomid it seems is more of a problem than a help. One more thing, don't got down the path of the blame game. We are all made differently, and while weight can have some impact on our ability to conceive, we cannot keep finding ways to blame ourselves. Infertility is often the hardest thing a women has to deal with, and in many ways the loneliest, because we each experience it in a different way. So don't think about what you are doing wrong, and focus on being positive and thinking positive, it's the least we can do.
I too had a thin lining and clomid made it worse.. when I switched to injectables it got nice and thick and I got pg second round
From different websites I've visited, I am trying natural progesterone cream. It's a natural cream that you rub into your skin once a day for the last 14 days of your cycle (if your cycle is 28 days) and is supposed to help thicken the lining so the fertilized egg will attach. Please check with your doctor on this.
What CD are you on? When I was TTC, my obgyn switched me to Femara from Clomid because Femara does not adversely affect the lining. When I was taking Clomid, he also had me on estrogen to help thicken my lining. He also did a hysteroscopy to get a better look at my endometrium. Are you seeing an obgyn or a RE? For me, a referral to an RE was what finally got the ball rolling. I met with him in October 2006. He did laparoscopy in December 2006 and I was pg in January 2007. If you're comfortable with your doctor, then great, but a good RE is priceless, in my opinion.
