Change in Cervical Mucus

Hi Ladies,

Something odd, but hope you can assist.  My period is due in 7 days.  For the past couple of days I have been experience a feeling wetness and I noticed that my CM is thin, transparent and stretchy...and there is loads of it, almost giving me the feeling that my cycle is about to start.

I usually experience the damp feeling a few days before my cycle, but usually never the CM.

Has anyone experienced this before.  I'm not actively trying to get pregnant, but not opposed to the idea :)

Sounds like Fertile mucus to me, a good sign of your fertility and a good time to have intercourse if you are ttc...

you can get ovulation strip tests from a site called sme fertility and they pin point the day of actual ovulation from LH hormone surge this always comes very close to the fertile cervical mucus the (stretch stuff lol)

CM is a great way to know that it's close to ovulation time.  Unfortunately, it's not a great predictor of whether or not you conceived.  Yes, many women tend to produce more during the early stages of pregnancy, but 1 week post conception would be super early.  It's certainly not a sign that your not, it's just not a reliable sign that you are.  I look forward to your update and hope this turns out exactly how you would like it to!  Best wishes to you.
