Dear Stresser66, there is no long term evidence that proves that Botox is safe to use for cosmetic purposes. The fact that so many people are using it does not mean it is safe to use over the long term, it just means that people are willing to take that chance with their health. There is no long term research on its affect on the brain, nervous system or body. I would absolutely NOT use Botox whilst breast-feeding or pregnancy, the fact that people who use drugs and alcohol can have healthy babies is not a good excuse to keep doing them. Many women also lose babies from these drugs, even smoking tobacco increases the risk of miscarriage and stillbirth. lay off the botox until you have birthed a healthy baby and finished feeding -a new life deserves the healthiest of beginnings and your baby will not care if your face wrinkles when you laugh but they could grow to be pissed off if you compromise their health for vanity.
I don't know the answers to your question but i would advise asking the dr on the ask-the-expert forum. My sister who routinely got botox discontinued it during her pregnancy. She did receive injections though nearly two weeks before she conceived her daughter but the baby's perfectly healthy. I hope this helps............oh btw, she simply stopped the injections during her pregnancy.
