Thanks everyone!! You were very helpful.
5x4=20 6x4=24 assuming you are using 4 weeks for a month. You are between 5 months and 6 months at 22 weeks. You can't be 6 months until you actually reach the "sixth" month which is 24 weeks. It's like people who say they are a year older two weeks before their actual birthdate. It is better to just say how many weeks you are. Then you don't have to do any of the math which is a hassle when there are five weeks in a month too. Like this month!
Okay, I just looked it up on babiesonline.com It states that women generalize their months into 4 weeks, but the "exact" calculation is 4.33 weeks equals 1 month
I gave up trying to figure out how many months I was..lol. I just told people how many weeks and left it at that. But I think the others are right in their info!
You'd be 5 in a half months
A month in pregnancy is considered 4.5 weeks. You need to divide your 22 by 4.5 and it comes out to 5 months. this is what my ob told me when I asked her. Seemed to me like the numbers of weeks never worked out either, but that's how it was explained to me.
Hope this helps. 20 weeks is halfway so that would be 4.5 months, so yep at 22 weeks, you work out to 5 months.
February is the only month with exactly 4 weeks, so it's not accurate to count your pregnancy months that way (and even if you were erroneously counting 4 weeks as a month, you wouldn't be considered 6 months until you were 24 weeks). I'm 25 weeks and won't be 6 months until early November since I am due February 9.
