DOGG TIRED

Hello Everyone,

OK, as you know I'm only 7 weeks pregnant, WELL 6w5days, and I've been soooooo tired that it's a shame.  I didn't come to work yesterday because I simply couldn't wake up, and today I came in 4 hours late......now currently I have NO leave at work, so this time off will have to be leave without pay, which I can't really afford.....I don't know what I'm going to do, things can not continue like this, or I'm going to be out of a job if so.  I've been yawning since I've been here.  The other day I fell asleep at 4pm, and woke up at 7 the next morning and by 9 I was sleepy again.  Some say too much sleep, BUT I beg to differ, because if I get 5 hours, 8 hours of 13 hours, I'm STILL sleepy....I feel like I just want to sleep the next 33 weeks away and wake up in labor..........

Have any of you went through this so early on during the pregnancy, and if so, what did you do to help.  As of now I know I have NO choice but to start back getting on my treadmill, EVERY DAY, atleast to TRY and get a little energy........sorry to complain so early in the day, but if I'm feeling like that at almost 7 weeks, I would HATE to imagine what's in store for me later, GEESH!

Hi Nickey!  I'm 6 weeks today and feel the same way...I'm yawning ALL day.  My coteacher is doing most of the teaching b/c unless I'm talking I'm really dragging and after lunch forget it!  I don't think energy drinks are a good idea though.  I just read an article that they have found that more then 2 glasses of a caffeinated beverage a day can cause a m/c.  My dh made me stop drinking all my diet cokes...AGH....I know what you mean about sleeping though b/c I slept like 12 hours all last week when I was off...hey I wasn't tired...LOL

Thanks,

Do either of you know anything about energy drinks?  I know at this point, I shouldn't be trying ANYTHING new, BUT I REALLY need some energy, atleast to get through a few homework assignments that I MUST do tonight.....My cousin had a health baby last may, and said she drank energy drinks now and then during her first trimester, what do you think about that?  Now that I'm writing/typing this I feel kinda dumb even asking, BUT I'm still curious.

Thanks

I had the "sleepies" too w/ this pregnancy and luckily it passes!  I couldn't sit still w/out falling asleep.  I'm not sure what causes us to be so tired but just hang in there....you'll be full of energy before you know it!

I know how you feel, I am 6 wks and 2 days, extremely tired too. This shouldn't last the entire pregnancy but it's very common for the first trimester. Hang on, I think it will get better for us!!
