EMBARASSING QUESTION

This is too much info but I really need a question answered from someone that has been pregnant before. I've suffered for years with yeast infections.  I noticed today that I have some white discarge around my labia. Is this normal for early pregnancy or is it a yeast infection.  Do you think if I take one of those at home yeast infection tests it would work? I know your ph in higher when you are pregnant so i'm thinking it won't work. Also has anyone ever used RePhresh gel while pregnant? It was such a big help when not pregnant and read it was fine for pregnancy.

I always thought I had a yeast infection when I was pregnant... I insisted to be tested twice but it was always negative! But better be safe than sorry: mention it to your doctor!

I have always have vaginal discharche, i wear a pantyliner everyday, with the pregnancy it increased so much I have to change paintliner during the day. My Dr checked it and everything is OK ir is the body trying to keep everything clean, when you see it like that it helps.
Have it checked anyway so you know for sure everhing is OK

It's common to get yeast infections in pregnancy. However, it's also common to have increased discharge that has nothing to do with yeast infection.  I wouldn't recommend any otc treatment.  Have your Dr. check it out first.  If it's not itchy or bothering you, it's very possible it's just discharge.  Mine was so bad during early pregnancy I had to wear a pantyliner at all times.  And I never had a yeast infection.

No such thing as tmi around here my dear.  You would be amazed at the things that have been shared in this forum.  It's why it's here!!

Ohh heck yeah! because of the blood flow is increasing around that area you are more likely to get yeast infections at any time of you pregnancy, I usually get an infection around 7,8,9 months. But in saying this, some of the luckier ones don't experience this irritating symptom.
