Estradiol & FSH Test Day 2-3

Hi.  I received so much positive information/help when I posted previously, so thought I'd give it another try !  :)  My DH & I are TTC & my doctor had me do a progesterone test on day 21-23 of my cycle, which I did, and then I'm supposed to go in Day 2-3 to do another blood test for Estradiol & FSH levels.  My only question is I started spotting yeserday (of course I was hopeful it was just spotting, but AF showed up bright and early today!)  So, the doctors office is closed on the weekend... Would yesterday or today be considered Day 1 & what is the detriment if I go in for my blood test on Monday, when that is Day 4 (or Day 5 if spotting yesterday was actually Day 1).  I know I can call my doctor today to double check, but just thought I'd throw this question out there !
Thanks !!!

I was told spotting does not count as day 1.  Day 1 is the day you have a regular flow.  But no matter how you count it, Monday is too late this cycle.  Hope next month works out better!

Thanks !  That's what I was afraid of :(  I didn't want to go in & do the test, just to have to do it again.  I'll call today :)

When I had this testing done the same thing happened to me I started on a 4 day weekend. and the doctor made me wait a full cycle to test then because he said it was important to do it on day 2 or thee and if i tested a day later the numbers would be off but maybe your doctor could clarify more for you...sorry.
