HCG Levels

Hi,

I had my Beta test today after IUI on 12/20 and 12/21 and my level was 8.9. Doctor said not a no but not a yes either. Need to go back tomorrow to see if it increased. What are my chances of being pregnant? Could it be that I conceived during regular intercourse on 12/21 and 12/23 and HCG level is lower than they expect?

Hi Everyone,

Thanks for the support. The RE nurse called me back last night and told me she made a mistake and to come back in tomorrow to re-test Beta not today, which makes sense as I have read that Beta should double about every 2 days so I go back saturday to see if it has increased. I hope so. I have tried not to get too excited but I "feel" pregnant. Sore BB's (ouch!) tired, headaches for the past week and I've felt more of a connection to this IUI for some reason. Weird I guess..so, keep me in your prayers, I will update when I get the results. Have a great day!

I think it's a very good chance on a BFP in the making.  My Dr says anything over 8 is a BFP......let us know how those #'s look after your next beta

It is only 13 days since your IUI. I think your chances of this turning out positive are very good.  My RE wouldnt' even test me until 16 days after IUI.

Best of luck to you.

The fact that you have any Beta is a good sign.  You're body doesn't start producing beta hcg until implantation has occurred.  Implantation can be anywhere from 5-12 days after conception.  Hopefully, your Beta will increase tomorrow.  I hope you're pregnant!
