That's good that you will have more tests. I would ask that NP what scale they use to measure progesterone (i.e., what is the normal range). My RE put me on progesterone supplements when my progesterone was 21 (which he said was low-normal--normal was anything above 20). When it dropped as low as 13, he said I would have a miscarriage (which unfortunately l did). Low progesterone does not always mean a miscarriage, but if I were you, I would really press that NP for progesterone suppositories. Progesterone won't save a failing pregnancy, but they also won't hurt you, and could help your uterine lining better sustain an early pregnancy. I agree that the waiting is very difficult!
good luck for a sticky lil bean!!!!!
I spoke with the NP at my dr office, and she said progesterone was in the "normal range". I thought it was low too, I have an appt for more tests on monday. UGHH I hate the waiting. I thought u/s was early too, but thats what they want. Thanks for the input.
One hcg test doesn't really tell you anything; you need to have at least two, to see if the number is doubling at least every 72 hours. If I were you, I would also ask them to check your progesterone again, as yours is very low and you may need supplements. Also, the ultrasound appears to be scheduled awfully early (before 6 weeks), so it may not tell you much. I've been through two mc also in the last 6 months, so I can empathize with your losses. I do hope you have a great outcome on all the tests you have this time!
You Hcg level looks fine for week 2-3. hcg should double every 48 to 72 hours.
