HCG levels not doubling

My pregnancy was confirmed by my dr. at 16DPO, my beta level was 300. She saw 2 sacs on early ultrasound.
Yesterday marked two more weeks, she saw one sac, and my beta level was only 450. dr. said even though ultrasound looks ok, this is a very bad sign and the pregnancy is probably not viable...
However, she said that my progesterone levels are very high...?
Any feedback would be appreciated.

all you can do is hope and pray.  I am in a similar circumstance.  I started some cramping last week and dr. did Hcg.  Mon. it was 8200 and wed. it was 11,800.  Dr is concerened because the levels did not double.  I had my first u/s on Fri. and he kept saying its a really tiny baby.  The yolk sac is flat and does not look too good.  The h/r was 112 and he said that he would have liked to see the h/r 150.  He also moved my due date back a week.  He said I had a 40% chance of miscarriage.  I am not cramping or bleeding and just resting.  I am praying for a positive outcome.  Did they say how far along they think you are??

That is strange because everything you read says they can't see anything on u/s till hcg is 1000-2000.  Something must not be right witht that number.

If they can see something on u/s that is a good sign.. hang in there.

The ultrasound findings are normal, which makes this even more confusing...

I agree w/Tanker. I am sorry. My last m/c I was at 6 weeks and my hcg was 420 and that was all I needed to know. I don't think the progesterone really makes a difference at this point, it's the hcg they want to double. Have they done an untrasound?

at 6weeks pg your hcg should be much higher than 450.  All you can do is wait and see, but that number doesn't seem typical.

Sorry things aren't going so well for you..
