How do you Know when you Drop?

How can you tell if your baby has dropped? Reason I am asking is I will be 35 weeks tomorrow, and I am having twins. Tonight just out of the blue, I began noticing I am breathing deeper and easier and when I looked down, my stomach looks like it has went down, Before between my breast and stomach was no room at all and now there is room? THis is my second pregnancy and I was told before with second pregnancy that you drop and within hours you go in labor, I would also like to know if anyone knows if that is true

I too have heard all kinds of different stories regarding this - it sounds like to me that your babies have dropped since you're breathing easier and there's room now between breast and stomach.  About whether you go into labor or not - I've heard dropping means you go into labor w/in hours too but I doubt there's significant evidence to support it  In the meantime, I'm glad you're able to breathe - I can't imagine what it must be like to have twins!  How exciting!

You probably did.  If your breathing is easier and you feel more heaviness or pressure around your pelvic area chances are you dropped.  This can occur up to 4 wks prior to delivery...this may just be a sign that you're getting closer, not necessarily meaning you're going to go into labor soon.  Will you have anymore u/s's prior to delivery?  If not, your OB will be able to tell with your next internal.  Almost there!!!!
