How much have you gained?

Hi ladies:

I thought it might be time for a weigh-in.

I'm 16w2d (I think, baby is measuring 5 days bigger) and have gained 8 pounds.

I gained all but a pound of it in the first trimester. Things have slowed down over the past 4 weeks.  Hope that's OK...

Girl!!!....

HELL to the NOOOO!!! lol... my 'regular' clothes are just cornered now by the maternity pants and sweats!!! I had a wedding the other day and 'wore' my regular pants with my belly band... the damn thing (zipper) kept hurting my hoohaa bone, and the butt was hanging low.... i had to keep pulling them up...or else it looked like i was wearing diapers..... my sweater now felt WAAAAY too short so i was showing my pretty muffin top on the sides..... ARGH! lovely...
of course there's this girl right infront of us, super tall, thin, great legs and wearing a tiny black dress.... above the knee.... i just saw dh... trying his hardest to not be that obvious.... (altho the a$$*ole didn't do too good of a job.....*growls*)

So, no girl, I am wearing my pajamas everywhere! lol (saaaad) there are some preggy ladies that look amazing... i don't think that's my case... i just FEEL amazing, but looks wise?? doubt it..
plus it's so cold here that all i wear is layers and layers of shirts... so i DO look tremendously fat!!!

not pretty...

V- are you still in regular clothes????  Girl, I'm completely blown away!  I'm w/sleepless mom.  I just close my eyes, hum, sing, do a dance, whatever not to look at that d@mn scale.  I lost some weight during 1st trimester (which was needed anyway) & am not sure about the rest.  Last pregnancy I gained 50+ pounds so am trying to be a good girl this time around. - jen (20weeks)

We're tied!

You gained all 8 after 12 weeks?   I gained almost all of mine in the first 12 weeks.  Then again, I lived on carbs and sugar.  The only two things I could keep down.

I gained 5 pounds. I thought I was 14w3d but now I think I'm 15w4d because on my blood test sheet I had to go take yesterday, it said December 10 at 15w3d...? That's the woman who did my u/s last week who wrote that. Do they do that if you're measuring more than you're suppose to? Anyways, I arill gained 5 pounds!

Don't worry, I gained 40 with my 1st and 50 with my 2nd. The weight can always come back off later. Baby comes first. Try to eat healthy and enjoy your pregnancy. Best wishes for a healthy delivery and baby!!!  p.s. Congrats on quitting smoking!  You and your baby will be much healthier. What a lucky baby to have a mom who loves so much already.

You all bum me out!!! this is my first (close to 40yrs old) and I have gained 60 lbs!!!! due in two weeks!!! The only excuse I have is I quit smoking two months in, and have had major back surgery which has slowed me down majorly!! Still I feel terrible after reading all of your pittly pounds, ha ha.
HAVE ANY OF YOU READ THE BOOK "BELLY LAUGHS" BY JENNY MCCARTHY??
I HIGHLY RECOMMEND IT!!!!

I refuse to look at the scale, I go to the docs office and cover my eyes (I know it's childish and a ridiculous thing for a woman of 40, but I really can't bear to look)!!! I'm trying to do my best with this pregancy, I was out of control with my first I gained 41 lbs and didn't take an ounce off :(   Lots of life stress.  I  had a huge prego belly with by son, like an inverted weeble wooble, I think I scared people!   Looks like most of you are escaping your pregnant bodies before the hot, hot days of summer...

I gained 0 the whole first trimester but now at almost 34 weeks I am looming somewhere around 20lbs (I'll find out exactly on Wed. at my appt!).  I was real happy with my weight gain the first 20 weeks but boy at the end of the second trimester there is no stopping it!!!  Watch out ladies - it's coming like a freight train and pretty soon you will look down at your belly and be like "Wow! And I thought it was big 4 weeks ago!!!"  It just keeps growing and growing...!!!!

21w 3d and at my last appointment I had gained 5 1/2 pounds.  I am happy with that right now, because the baby is measuring big, so he is getting what he needs.  I started overweight and am at risk for gd, so I am hoping to gain 15 to 20 pounds.

I gained 7 pounds by 14 weeks, but I started out a little heavier than last time, unfortunately, so I am really going to have to watch it.

I gained 50 pounds with my first pregnancy!  Started at 160 and ended at 210.  Ugh.  This time, I am trying harder to watch what I eat and walking every day.  It is just too uncomfortable to be that heavy when you're pregnant.

Im in a similar boat, Montie....I hate to admit it also....but I just had a Dr. appointment and was shocked at my weight gain at my 24 week appt! :(

The first 3 months or so, I stayed the same...maybe gained a 1/2 pound.  Then at my 20 week appointment, I was up a whopping 13lbs!  The Dr. said by 20 weeks, which is the half way point of the pregnancy, they like to see a weight gain of 10 - 15 lbs...so they weren't concerned that at 20 week's I had gained 13lbs.

But today, however, at my 24 week appointment....I was up another 10lbs!!!!!!  Bringing me to a total of 23lbs at 24 weeks!  I don't "feel" like I've gained 23lbs!  So now I really have to watch it, which will be rough going into Christmas/New Years....(great!).

I will admit though..that I have been "picking" at stuff lately and not walking on the treadmill as much as I didn't before.  So I have to get a grip on things here as Im going to be heading into the 3rd trimester stretch after the holidays.....YIKES!!!

I asked the Dr about it....she wasn't as horrified I as I was, but she did say to try to watch what Im eating a little closer...she suggested to stick with lean meat, fruits and veggies...lots of salad and said I, and the baby should be just fine.  She also said to watch out for drinks....like fruit jucies that have lots of sugar and calories....they add up the pounds!

I think I've gained 8 lbs. in 16 weeks. Not fair that it's jeans and sweater time so the scale at the doctor's office always says even more.

If this week's appt still looks like everything is okay, I'm signing up for a Pregnant & Fit class. After the baby is born, it's on to body sculpt, pilates and kickboxing workouts. It will feel great to get back into shape again. Lost 50 lbs. in between my two children, I hope I can do it again!

I'm also getting kind of worried here because of my weight gain.  I'm a small person, 63 inches, and started at 108 pounds. As of this morning, 23w1d, I weight 123 pound! So I gained 15 pounds so far... I made a yogurt cake yesterday and ate a big slice this morning.  Much more appealing than a bowl of old fashioned oatmeal! I didn't gain much during the first trimester, maybe 2 pounds, but then it has been a constant gain! Hopefully it will slow down but... the holidays are coming!!!

I think I'm going to go for the full deal....a Mommy Makeover. Get the whole entire package lifted, nipped, sucked and tucked.

.....that is after I win the lottery

I had a boob job and LOVE them.  I just got Bs, but with this preg I have Ds!

The Sharpay stomach is nothing compared to my goat teets for boobs after DD!  Sagging A cups -- didn't know it was possible!
