I need your eyes/opinions

Please look on my photo page.  I have posted 2 pics of HPT.
One was taken 2 days ago after 2 hours withoutliquids at 12 noon and the other one I just took at 11am today after coffee tea and juice.  Today may or may not be a little lighter, but that's after 24 ounces of liquids.
I had my M/C 14 days ago, why isn't it getting lighter!!!   Is this going to last forever.
I took an OPK one week ago and it was almost positive, then in a couple of days it was WHITE now the opk's are slowly getting some pink color again, I was hoping that meant LH surge was building and I would get back to normal.
Can this happen if there is still HCG in my body?
Thanks,
Lisa

It is possible that you did have an LH surge and may have ovulated. It is progesterone not HcG that prevents ovulation. If your progesterone levels went down quickly then you may have ovulated and if you BD then you may indeed get pregnant. Unfortunately, if you remain detectible by HPT then you wouldn't be able to know if you caught it unless you had an US once it was big enough to find on US. Some HPT's will test + with as little a HcG of 7! Even though they are rated at 25 or higher. If your HcG was really high it will take some time for it to come back to not detectable by HPT.

I m/c'd at 6 weeks and had to take the methotrexate shot b/c they couldn't find anything inutero (they thought it was in my tubes)  It has taken about 3-4 weeks for my hcg (or beta) to show up negative.  I can't believe it lingered that long, but my RE said yes, it does.  There is nothing there, but that hormone is still in your system.

I am finally negative (since Monday) and I can't believe I was so happy to have that finally out of my system so I could start over.  It may take some time, that is normal, hang in there......

Oh, Lisa, I'm so sorry to hear that you miscarried.  Your Dr. should be asking you to come in for bloodwork to monitor your hcg levels...should be going down to 5 or below.

When your HCG levels are as high as yours were, it can take a long time for this to happen naturally.  However, you need to get checked for sure.  You may need a little extra help in getting back to normal.  You will not ovulate or have an LH surge with HCG still in your system, and with a test like that, it is very possible you have not had a complete loss yet.  I am glad you are seeing the Dr. this week. Hang in there honey, and you know I am thinking about you.

I sure hope you get some answers Lisa. How terrible to be getting a + still.  Don't worry, Thursday will be here soon. I always said to myself, go to bed early and get up late, that will make for a shorter day.  Can't wait to hear some answers.

Glad to hear they are monitoring your levels.  It is also good to hear that you have an u/s on Thursday!!!!  I do know that opk's can turn positive with a high level of hcg, that is why they can also be used as a pregnancy test (but probably not as effectively)

Thursday is going to seem like forever, but at least you will get some answers by then! Good luck and keep us posted!!!!!!

Thank you Ladies,
Yes, I have heard it can take a long time, I had a beta done 9 days ago and it was 900, down from 26,000.  I was hoping it would be negative by now.
Does anyone know if LH can start to increase if you still have HCG in your system?
I have a follow up u/s on Thursday with a beta.  I guess I'll have more answers then.

You were pregnant for quite some time before you miscarried, therefore, your hcg level was probably up there.  I wouldn't be suprised if it took a couple of weeks for the hcg to get out of your system.   One time it took an hcg that peaked about 800 about four weeks to get out of my system.  I know everyones different, but the hcg sometimes can linger on.

Well there is no doubt those are +! Did they check to see if your hcg was going down after your mc????? I have heard of people getting preggo right after their mc. In fact a lady I teach with got pregnant again like two weeks later, I did not know that was even possible.  Have you been bd'ing?? I would call your doctor and ask them to monitor your levels so you know exactly what is going on! Sorry for the waiting game!!!!!!
