Integrated Screening Part II

I am 43 and a half years old and 12 week pregnant. I just got done with Part I of the Integrated Screening, which involved a nuchal and a blood draw. Nuchal measurements came out great and I just got a call from the doctor who did it, telling me that the blood results are great too. My question is, should I still go ahead and take Part II of the Integrated Screening? We will have the baby no matter what but I don't mind drawing my blood one more time if it assures me that I don't have to do amnio test later on. I am also concerned that my insurance may not pay for all these testings although my OB says they should cover as long as she says it's necessary and she did say to do this Integrated Screening because of my age. Should I check with my insurance company regardless? Anyone with this kind of experience, please advise. Thank you.

Thank you jackie0313 and lisb74. I called my insurance co myself. They said they cover these tests. Hubby wants to do amnio regardless and lisb74 says it's not hurting :) so, I will probably do an amnio.

I had the amnio for the first time and it wasn't painful at all. Just wanted to share that with you.

I am in the same boat as you (42 and doing the Part 1 screening on March 4th).

Because of age I was told that 80% of insurance companies cover both stages.  We will be doing all the testing we can, but probably not amnio.  The needle and risk of miscarriage both freak me out.
