I'm seeing my OB soon and I'll make sure to ask him about it. I've had some seriously heavy AF's recently too but I put it down to my age. But that along with this and a couple of other little things has me wondering if there may be something going on like what you went through so I'll ask him look into it. I've been wondering if a D & C might be something I need too. Thanks for the info!
A couple of times in my life I had spotting mid cycle. I think they call this break thru bleeding. It was brownish in color (so that means "old blood"). In my situation it turned out to a polyp that was the culprit. it was small in size and I had a D&C to remove it and after the D&C my period lightened up (i used to have very heavy AF) and the break thru bleedin went away. There are various reasons for break thru bleeding.
Thank-you :)
Do you usually have spotting with ovulation? or is this new for you? I never have before, but that could be it, too.
I had a cyst that we believe was causing mine. Then this last cycle I had spotting around "O" time. Good luck!
Oh man I wish it was implantation bleeding too! I'm such a goof. The first thing I did when I saw it this morning was to start counting back the days on my fingers in my bathroom, just hoping I could have ovulated early enough for it to be possible. The numbers just don't jive I think. Too early It is unusual for me though. My AF never starts this way. It usually just comes on with a vengeance saying, " TA Dah! Here I am whether you like it or not." LOL
It usually comes between 28-32 days but I did have a spell a couple of years ago where I was ill and I never knew what the heck it was going to do. I see my OBGYN May 6 and we'll discuss it then. I hope your day is going well!

Well, I wish it was implantation spotting!!! I don't know a lot about mid cycle spotting, but I do know 1 of the reasons can be low progesterone. So yeah, probably a hormonal issue. If it happens regularly, you could mention it to your Dr. and perhaps they can help regulate things for you. I also have read it's more common in women who have irregular cycles. I know you told me, but I can't remember..is that the case with you?
