Miscarriage and pregnancy symptoms

I was told Tuesday that when I had an ultrasound that there was no fetal heartbeat and they are checking my HCG levels which I am suppose to get the results today but I am still having pregnancy symptoms especially my breast are very tender, I didn't have nausea or vomiting with the pregnancy but my symptoms didn't diminish they seem to get worse because I can't even sleep on my breasts so I don't know what to think.  Can someone guide me with help I don't know what to do at this point.

I wish there was something besides wait and see.  Unfortunately at this point that is all you can do.  It's sheer torture, I know.  I too have been there.  Sadly, you cannot go by pregnancy symptoms.  It is true that they sometimes diminish or disappear with a loss, but that is certainly not always the case.  Sometimes it takes our bodies a bit of time to realize what has happened.  The opposite is also true...pregnancy symptoms can disappear and the pregnancy still be just fine.

I hope the waiting is over for you soon and you have your answers.  I also hope that this pregnancy turns out to be a healthy one and am sending you all the positive thoughts I can.  Take care, and please let us know how you are doing.

Best wishes to you.  It's hard for us to help you since you are unsure of the last period. I guess you will have to wait for HCG.  I am sorry you are going thru this stress.

I don't know how far along I am because I thought I got my period the first week of December but it turn out that I might have gotten the third week of December because I write in a journal and it was later then that but on January 14th they just found a sac and then 2 weeks later February 2, 2010 the told me that it grew there was a fetus in there but no heartbeat but I am still having pregnancy symptoms that didn't diminish so I don't know what to think and I am still waiting for my test results from the HCG they told me that they haven't gotten them yet but I am just so tire of this waiting game.

How far along are you? Could it still be too early for the heartbeat?
