Nasal swelling is common. Humidifiers, lower room temperature, and breathe right strips help. It will clear when the baby comes. It's due to increased blood volume, which can't be prevented.
Yes, it's pretty common. I have pregnancy rhinitis, it's like having a cold every day! My sinuses have become my enemy, I use a warm mist humidifier at night and use the netti pot a few times a week to clean out my sinuses. Sometimes they are so bad I get headaches. Doctor said it's safe to use claritin or zyrtec but I haven't been taking anything. It's worse for me in the morning, sometimes I would go through a box of tissue but it's gotten a little better in the end of the 2nd trimester.
I've had the stuffed up nose thing since the beginning and Nothing works. Tried the neti pot it helped for an hour I also wear a breath right to bed it helps sometimes for like an hour to. I've tried everything n nothing seems to work or last. I've never even herd of this as a symptom till thing pregnancy but have herd that the minute u give birth it finally goes away, can't wait for that
I've been using a neti pot and the amount of snot that came or of my nose today was gross. It is a very awkward feeling when you first start
Thanks, I tried the saline initially and it did nothing for me! My friend suggested nettie pot, I'll look for that too!
The dreaded sinus congestion!! My #1 most annoying symptom! I swear from the day of conception to birth, i feel like my face is pregnant too! I used to use only saline for my first 3 pregnancies but found the Neilmed sinus rinse kit and it has been a savior with this one.
Nasal swelling is common during pregnancy; I also use a humidifier.
Also try a humidifier at night
I use Claritin and/ or Tylenol Sinus. They are both safe during pregnancy.
Saline spray does nothing for me- neti pot works awesome though! Once in the morning, once before bed. Lol, I'm addicted to it now! You can grab them anywhere- Fred Meyer, grocery store, Walmart.....
