He'll be home sooner than you know!! I'm so happy for you, Hannah - what wonderful news. Is Jacob excited? He's 18 1/2 months old, right? You're going to have a blast w/those boys!
Hugs, jen
Hey everyone and thanks a bunch.. things are going really good. I feel pretty good overall. Nathan is doing great. I fed him three bottles today and he took them down like a pro. I was only sorry I couldn't give him more.
He is doing so good and I just love holding him. I'm so ready to go home and be off bed rest but at the same time, I hate leaving him here, but I know it is what is best for him.
Congratulations!! I am so happy to hear that all is well and Nathan is a healthy little guy! My cousin had her twins at around 30 to 33 weeks (I can't remember exactly) and they were both around 3lbs. 1 was home in about a month, the other was in longer but she had a few extra challenges from the moment she was born, so they knew right away it would be difficult for her.She needed help breathing, so it doesn't sound like her situation was anything like Nathans. Both babies are happy healthy 10 month olds now.
First of all a BIG congrats!!!!!
My SIL had a baby @ 35 weeks. She was perfect, but stayed in the NICU for about 7-9 days JUST to make sure ;)
I'm sure your ltitle guys will be going home w/you guys before you know it ;)
congrats on you baby boy! my son dominick was born at 33 weeks or the first day of my 34th week. he was in the NICU for 2 weeks. he had a few issues but is absolutely fine and a very heathy boy!!! wishing you the best of luck!

Congratulations! I have been thinking about you and am so glad that all went well with your sweet baby boy! I love the name Nathan (it is my DS's name too :))-I think every hospital is different when it comes to letting babies go home. My SIL had my niece at 35 weeks. The baby was little 4lbs-but was absolutely perfect and needed no help with breathing or anything-they let her go home on time with my SIL. Congrats again! Suzanne
My son was born at 32 weeks and was in the NICU a month. Weighed 3lbs. 10oz. He was not breathing well at birth. He improved very fast. Only on the ventilater 1 day, CPAP 1 day then breathing on his own. He stayed in an incubator until he could regulate he body temp for almost 2 weeks then was moved to an open crib. Our NICU has extremely high standards your baby must meet before going home. It was a tough month but well worth it to bring home a healthy baby.
Congratulations!!!!! Hope he is doing well!!!

Woo-hoo so happy and another boy too !!!!!!!!
Congratulations!!! I LOVE the name Nathan! I hope the little guy gets to go home soon with you!
Oh, congratulations! I'm so happy for you. While I don't have a similar experience to share with a preemie, I have a two year old Nathan Joseph - what a great name Nathan!!! Congrats!
Hannah, I'm so thrilled and excited for you!! It just can't be expressed in words!! I can't wait to see pictures!! Enjoy your new baby honey!! I'm so glad all is well!! You had a rough go for a while and to know that you are holding a healthy baby is such a blessing!
That is the best news Hannah!!! I am so happy to hear of Nathans arrival!!! I can't wait to see pictures!! He is just a little thing!! I know at our hospital they have to be 5lbs to go home and not lose more than 10% of their birthweight. I bet he won't have to be there too long though at 4lb11oz!! I bet he is just beautiful just like Jacob and his mommy!!! I hope you and all your boys are doing good!!
Congratulations on the birth of your beautiful baby boy!!! Can't wait to see some pics. I'll be praying that he comes home soon!
Welcome Nathan Gehrig!!!!!! Great news and keep us posted.
Congratulations, Hannah! Twice, I've been able to wake up to your wonderful news...how awesome! Can't wait to see pictures of the little man!

Hannah - I'm so happy for you!!!!!!!!!!! congratulations! Yvette's baby was born at 35 weeks weighing about the same amount - almost 5 pounds if I remember right. I know it's a little later than Nathan's birth but perhaps you can drop her a pm. I think Caitlyn (her name) got to go home fairly quickly although yvette couldn't breastfeed her yet because the doctors said she would burn too many calories sucking on the breast.
Again, what wonderful news! Now you've got your precious baby boys - hugs, jen
Congrats....praying your Nathan will come home soon to you...
Take care..
Awe...congratulations, Hannah! I'm so happy for you and your family!
