I went into early labor at 30 weeks  and my cervix was shortening....could have sworn they were Braxton hicks contraction....just tightening not painful
are they gonna give you anything for the High BP or just watch it?
good luck and take care of yourself

Sorry for all the worry.  The good thing is they are aware of the situaltion so it can be watched closely...

Take care and get your rest!!

Sorry to hear about the high BP.

I had gestational diabetes with my second pregnancy and had non-stress tests twice a week also.  Although it was different problem, I believe they will be looking for the same thing -- a healthy, vital placenta.  They want to see if it is still working like it is supposed to.  The NST look for several spans of movement by the baby with increased heart etc.  This, according to my NST technician, lets them know the placenta is still working properly.

With my 1st pregnancy I found out I had preeclempsia at 36 weeks, which includes high blood pressure.  They made me lay on my left side and I ended up having the baby early.  From what I understand the high BP affects you more than the baby.

Hope that helps a little and God bless!

I m so sorry to hear that...but try not to worry too much, since that will just add to your stress. The fact that you'll be seeing a high risk obgyn is a good thing. I'm sure you'll be in very good hands.
