Ovulation

Is it possible to ovulate 8 days after your period then have ovulation pains, which hurt bad, 14 days after my period?  On day 8 I had egg white cervical mucus and on day 13, and day 14 of cycle when i was suppose to ovulate, I was really dry?  Weird.  My body is doing strange things.  Just when we decide to try for a baby, everything is weird.  Lol

I would agree with Heather's comments.  I used to typically have EWCM for a few days prior to ovulation.  That is your most fertile time, so take advantage!!  Before my cycles went from 28 to 25 days, I would usually have a positive OPK around day 11.  Once they moved to 25 days, it changed to day 8 or 9.  I usually had ovulation pain a day or two after my positive OPK.  Good luck and SSBD to you!!

How long are your cycles normally? It's pretty common to have EWCM for a few days before ovulation, and ovulating on day 8 would have been very early. I've had cycles like that, too, though, where I would have lots of stretchy mucus early on and then by the time I ovulated (based on OPK and even sonograms), it felt like everything had dried back up again. I asked my RE about it once before I had an IUI (not that mucus matters when having an IUI, but I honestly thought I had already ovulated...I hadn't). He showed me with a mirror that there was in fact stretchy mucus up by the cervix where it counts. Maybe it's the same with you. Best of luck with everything!
