Hello... I'm a 38 year old female and just had a quadruple bypass a few months ago. Heart disease runs in my family as does diabetes and hypertension. Currently I am in a cardiac rehabilitation program and have been making significant improvements according to blood work results. I feel that my overall health is much improved with modifications I've made in my diet and exercise. Prior to knowing I needed to have the heart surgery, my husband and I were planning to start a family (we are "older" newlyweds). My greatest frustration is this: now that I have had the CABG, I was advised not to get pregnant. This truly breaks my heart and I guess I need a second opinion. Thank you...
